New Customer – Top European Energy Co.

One of the world’s leading energy companies has selected Refresh to cleanse all supply chain items as part of an Industry 4.0 initiative.

Headquartered in Scandinavia, with customers spread out over large, energy-hungry metropolitan areas, this leading energy distribution company has an impressive portfolio of assets and equipment which it safely maintains.

At this particular new customer, all of the existing 30 000 assets and items in the IBM Maximo system had some level of duplication, renaming, and classification opportunity that historically had not been easy to fix.

Refresh software was selected from a wide range of software and consulting suppliers after a previous attempt at a project failed due to a lack of useable practical software. Refresh was selected to remedy this due to its proven demonstration in the automation of de-duplication and classification of spare parts and equipment. Refresh Desktop was seen as the missing catalyst for the project – reducing the activation energy needed to tackle a large amount of “less than clean” stock and non-stock items of supply in multiple systems.

So far, the project is progressing well using Refresh Desktop. Heating energy distribution assets including valves, pumps, and piping have been prioritized for Q4 2021 which should present good quick win savings during 2022. This will also deliver one of the main integration pillars of the organization's Industry 4.0 initiative to drive lean working capital, optimized procurement, and safe maintenance processes for all internal and external stakeholders.
